Taking cases of water up and down steps was getting on my last nerves of course I’m already mad I have to pay for clean water in the first place. This made me start to think about filtered water and how to go about filtering it myself. It’s cheaper way more convenient and I can save my back. So I started with You Tube and of course there were so many brands but I looked at a very good comparison video that broke down how useful each water filter was and how much the replacement filters were and most important to me was how many gallons of filtered water do you get from each filter.
Another big reason I wanted to filter my own water was fluoride. Why is there any type of fluoride in any of our drinking water? I will never know but what I do know is I don’t want to put it in my body everyday. So I went on the hunt and got a Pro Pour water filter. I paid about $69.95 and it comes with the first water filter.
Just to put the tap water up against the filtered water to compare I also bought a TDS EZ Digital water tester. I was very surprised to see that the tap water was not as bad as it looked. It tested at a 59 the Pro Pour filtered water tested at a 54. Both were actually in a good range and it showed the Pro Pour did take out some of the elements.
The before and after of the look and taste will keep me filtering water forever! The water straight from the faucet is cloudy and almost white colored and it taste like pool water. The filtered water is clear and has no after taste.
The Pro Pour replacement filter is about $39.95 but is worth it because you will get 225 gallons of filtered water out of it! Where else can you get a gallon of water for – cents?!
Being able to be self sufficient and filter my own water is a great thing. It’s a slow drip so you fill the top up where the filter is and put the lid on and let it drip through the filter to the bottom. I personally pour the filtered water back into a gallon jug or a water bottle and keep them all filled up. I’m saving tons of money! I’m way healthier because I’m filling up my water bottle constantly and drinking water all day long.
No more excuses about needing to pick up water. The filtered water is in the refrigerator and ready at all times for me to enjoy. If you haven’t already put some thought into getting a Pro Pour or a water filter of your choice to have in your home. It’s one of the best decisions I have made for my health.
