I’m on my last pair of my Sterling Gray Air Optix prescription color contacts and I was thinking about if I should get another (6) months worth of color contacts or just wear my glasses. To be honest in my whole six months of having them I only wore them for Instagram photos and You Tube videos. I did not wear them out as a replacement for my eye glasses. I have a weak eye so my prescribed contacts are not as comfortable as someone with better vision. They have different power in each contact and mines was higher than 1 which made it kind of a hassle to wear them on a consistent basis. After I would get them in it would take a long time to focus. I think that is what made them uncomfortable to wear frequently.
Due to needing different power color contacts for each eye the price was a little expensive. In a six month order of color contacts there were (6) boxes / pairs for about $150.00 I’m not a regular contact lense wearer so I thought it was kind of high but if you break down $150.00 divided by (6) months that comes out to $25.00 a month which I guess is good for a person who wears contact lenses everyday.
For me I primarily wear my eyeglasses everyday. The Sterling Gray Color Contacts were a very pretty color the guy in the front who sold them to me at For Eyes was telling me how popular they were with men and women and how good they would look on my skin tone. He was correct the color contacts were very nice and natural looking. Unlike some of the color contacts I wore in the past that made me look like I was dressing up for Halloween.
I wore these color contacts with different make-up looks and colorful wigs they look amazing on camera and in photos. But I have to be honest those are the only times I wore them. So actually for me they were more for cosmetic use not to correct my eyesight.
Here is my review video for the Sterling Gray Color Contacts when I first got them
Here is another video I did way later on in The Sterling Gray Color Contacts
Don’t forget to purchase your contact lens storage cases and contact solution after buying color contacts. I got both from Wal Mart for under $20.00 (You will need both to store your contact lenses each month)
If you can afford $150.00 for prescription color contacts by all means try them. Wearing the Sterling Gray Color Contacts was great for cosmetic use for the (6) months but as a daily eyeglass wearer I’m going to continue with wearing my glasses…it’s just easier.
