One of my top accessories to create for myself and other people are Custom Press On Nails. I was so obsessed with making them I had a Big Cartel with over 300 nail sets available for sale. That was in 2016 fast forward a couple years later the store is gone but I still create custom sets of nails on a weekly basis for people and Nail Indie You Tube and Instagram. So why not create a blog post and show how I make a custom set of stiletto nails with magnetic nail stands.
So this is how the stands are typically sold. It’s one stand with (5) magnetic pieces. I’m a little over the top so I bought (5). I do sets of (24) nails total so that is why I purchased (5) but if it’s just for personal use you only need (2).
The magnetic nail stands do not come with adhesive so I’m using some white sticky putty to attach my fake nails.
I have these containers I got from the dollar store filled with all different shapes of nails. In this set I will be using the clear stiletto nails. I go ahead and put two of each size on my magnetic nail stands and I’m ready to paint!
I chose (3) Colors from my nail polish box. The LA Colors nail polish were Black, Silver and Purple. I painted them in no order. I just wanted a fun mix of the three colors.
Now I take some light purple and black acrylic paint along with a dotting tool and create some hearts on the silver nails. After the set dries I can now topcoat with Poshe Topcoat. After the first layer dries I add one more layer of Poshe Topcoat.
There all finished! I usually let them sit and dry a couple hours or overnight to make sure I don’t smudge them when I take them off the magnetic nail stands and put them in a box for storage.
I hope this blog was helpful in creating your own custom press on nails. There is alot of time and money to be saved by not needing to sit in a salon to get your nails done. This can be done in the comfort of your own home for a couple dollars. Press On Nails can be flashed up with 3D embellishments or rhinestones. The nail polish colors and nail designs are endless. Here are some of the supplies I use listed below all are Amazon Affliate products.
